"Do the Word; Don't Drift"

"For this reason we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it." Hebrews 2:1

In a world filled with uncertainty tempered by an attitude that everything is relative, it is no wonder that people feel adrift. What is the answer to this dilemma? Simply to pay close attention to Jesus. It was Jesus who came to His disciples in the midst of a storm, as they were drifting aimlessly, and spoke a word to calm the storm and comfort His disciples (Mathew 14). The writer of Hebrews reminds you and me, that in the midst of the storms of life, in the midst of drifting, to simply "pay close attention to what we have heard...". Set your eyes on Jesus, meditate on His Word, walk it out in joyful obedience and you to will find yourself anchored upon the solid Rock of Jesus Christ!
